An Error occurred while sending the file to the Records Records Center.

Solutions:
1. Central Administration > Application Management -> External Service Connections -> Records center -> select Connect to a Records Center and type inside the URL field your records url as following http://NameOfServer/RecordCentreName/_vti_bin/Officialfile.asmx

The Add-in "Symantec AntiVirus Outlook Protection"

This is the error will get while we try to open Outlook after installing Symantec Client in the computer.
Close the outlook.
Go to the location C:\Documents and Settings\{user}\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
and Delete the Extend.dat file.
Restart the Outlook.

VPN Configuration

Go to Start-->My Network Places
Right click on My Network Places and select Properties Else go to Network Connections from the Control Panel
From the top left corner choose File-->New Connection
The new connection wizard pops up. Choose Next.
On the next window choose Connect to the network at my work place. Choose Next.
On the next window choose Virtual Private Network Connection.Choose Next.
Key in the connection name as Company name.
On the Public Network Page Select Do not dial Initial Connection.
Key in the IP Address of VPN server.
On the next window use the default settings and choose Next.
Choose the add short cut to my desktop box and click Finish.
Click the newly created connection and log in with the credentials.

W3svc1 log files filling up disk volume

Location: C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC1
Solutions:
Goto IIS Manager, under properities of these virtual directories (in your default website),
uncheck Log visits:
secars,
secreg,
reporting,
content,
clientpackages
By the way, you can delete all those log files that use your disk space.

IP conflict

SOLUTION1:

  1. Select the network adapter from the taskpane or from Start-->Control Panel-->Network Connections
  2. Right click the adapter and choose Repair

SOLUTION2

  1. Go to command prompt.
  2. Issue the command cmd
  3. On the command windows that pops up issue the command ipconfig /release
  4. Wait for 10sec and issue the command ipconfig /renew
  5. Once the new ip is obtained issue the command ipconfig /registerdns
Before doing all this things better to check whether the ip is obained automatically by DHCP or Manually configured.

Fixing Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)” - 400 Error

Solution:

  • This issue usually occurs when the configuration is not done properly at the client side (IIS Server).
  • Open IIS Manger, from the Web Sites, select the site for which the error is generated.
  • Right click and select properties, from under the Web Site tab choose advanced and check if the IP address is set to (All Unassigned), and also check if the port and header are configured properly.
  • This should rectify this error
  • Double clicking on the drive does not open up the drive.

    Solution:

    Scan the system for virus.
    And from the drives, after choosing the view hidden files from under the view option in the folder.
    Delete the autorun.ini file.
    Restart the computer.
